Be the Buyer.
Any of you ever watch Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives?
I’d imagine the answer is “yes” since Guy Fieri’s show where he drives around in his red convertible showing off delicious restaurant food is arguably the most successful on The Food Network with over 30 seasons.
Now, I can get to my success story:
When I used to call restaurants, in an attempt to sell them something of course...
...I would put myself in the shoes of Guy Fieri.
Seriously.
I would try to condition my mindset to believe I was speaking and acting in a way that Guy would.
Why did I do that?
Well, any restaurant owner knows if they get invited to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, their restaurant sales spike massively.
Since that’s the case, obviously if Guy Fieri was calling them up to ask them to come on the show, he would speak to them with tons of confidence, excitement, and assume they’d obviously say yes and they’d feel LUCKY to be receiving his call.
We call this “The Buyer Mindset”. 😎
Conditioning my mind every morning to reach this buyer mindset and truly speak to people in a way where I knew they were lucky to be receiving my call was a requirement to CONSISTENTLY sell at a high level.
For me, this was my game changer.
