Quick on Your Feet
“Is it really that important to be quick on your feet in sales?”
Someone asked this yesterday. 🤦♂️
YES! It’s VERY important!
It’s extremely difficult to be a top performer unless you’re quick on your feet and able to react quickly to others.
Why?
I’ll give you 3 reasons:
1. Be heard
When you translate your thoughts quickly, you actually ensure your ideas and points are heard. The last thing you want to do is have the greatest objection response, but no opportunity to deliver it.
2. Confidence
If you can quickly respond to people, they are much more likely to listen and believe you. You sound like you know what you are talking about, and since the answer rolled off your tongue so easily and smoothly...it must be right!
3. Control
Sales conversations can head in many directions. You should only care about them going in your direction since that’s the fastest to the sale. The quicker you are on your feet, the more control you are in, and the more power you have to dictate which direction you are headed.
So...
Some people naturally have this and others don’t.
Fortunately, ANYONE can learn this skill.
